Waterfront Union Street Pedestrian Bridge Opening Friday, December 9th

The Union Street Pedestrian Bridge is opening mid-day this Friday, December 9, featuring a new elevator and permanent artwork by Seattle artist Norie Sato. The pedestrian bridge features a 95-foot-long walkway, a stairway with slip-resistant tread, and an elevator with semi-transparent materials that provide visibility and light. There is pedestrian lighting integrated in the railings of the bridge and stairs, underneath the bridge deck, and within the elevator for a more pleasant nighttime experience.
