Due to the inclement weather on Friday 3/31, Freeway Park Association has rescheduled the celebration of their light art program, ‘The Clouds Are Lifting’ for Friday, April 7th, at 7:30pm.
Installations will still be viewable in the park between March 31st and April 10th. Read below for an updated description of the program!
The time of hibernation has officially ended. We’ve made it through a long, dark winter and now we are ready to collectively embrace the coming of spring. These seasonal transitions are especially notable because they signal a turning point. We witness the return of the light, longer days, new growth and a natural reset. We wish to welcome back in the light with you. The clouds have lifted and so shall we. Emerging from our safe spaces to create new ones both with and within our community.
Join us on April 7th from 7:30 to 9:30pm to enjoy free refreshments, live performances, and installations from eight artists / artist teams commissioned by Freeway Park Association to bring warmth and light into Seattle’s largest downtown park. Installations will be viewable daily (best viewed from dusk to dawn) in Freeway Park from March 31st to April 10th.
